These Loaded Trashy Nachos are an absolute must for your go-to appetizer list, and something you should whip up right away! I mean, they are really that good!

This appetizer is great for game day (football baby!), a laid back gathering, or even a quick dinner for you and the kids. It’s an easy, one-pan wonder that is super simple, very filling, and will feed a hungry crowd. And, it’s completely customizable!!! It doesn’t get any more perfect than that. Seriously!

It’s probably somewhat shameful to admit, but my husband and I have utterly annihilated a whole pan of these nachos before. Just the two of us.. And, more than once too… 🙂 I definitely see more of these types of nachos in my future!

Description

Completely customizable loaded nachos that are perfect for game day, or a fun dinner with the kids! 


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag Tortilla Chips
  • 1 can Refried Beans
  • 1 can Black Beans, rinsed and drained
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • Garlic Salt
  • Mexican Four Cheese Blend, shredded
  • 1 half breast Rotisserie Chicken, chopped (or Ground Hamburger)
  • 1/41/3 Yellow Onion, diced
  • 23 Jalapeño Peppers, diced
  • 12 Avocados, diced
  • 12 Roma Tomatoes, diced
  • Cilantro, cut or torn
  • Fresh Garden Salsa
  • Kite Hill Sour Cream Alternative

Instructions

  1. Oven: Preheat the oven to 375° F.
  2. Beans: To a small pot, add the refried beans, some freshly ground black pepper, garlic salt, and shredded cheese and cook on medium heat.
  3. Chips: Top a sheet pan with foil and layer a healthy amount of your favorite tortilla chips. 
  4. Assemble: Evenly distribute generous amounts of refried beans, black beans, chicken, onion, jalapeño peppers, and cheese over the chips. 
  5. Bake: Bake for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is nicely melted. 
  6. Additional topping suggestions: Diced avocado, tomato, cilantro, salsa and sour cream. 

Notes

  • With an appetizer like this you can’t go wrong with ingredient amounts. A great rule of thumb here: the more the better!
