Trashy Customizable Nachos

These Loaded Trashy Nachos are an absolute must for your go-to appetizer list, and something you should whip up right away! I mean, they are really that good!

This appetizer is great for game day (football baby!), a laid back gathering, or even a quick dinner for you and the kids. It’s an easy, one-pan wonder that is super simple, very filling, and will feed a hungry crowd. And, it’s completely customizable!!! It doesn’t get any more perfect than that. Seriously!

It’s probably somewhat shameful to admit, but my husband and I have utterly annihilated a whole pan of these nachos before. Just the two of us.. And, more than once too… 🙂

I definitely see more of these types of nachos in my future!

  • 1 bag Tortilla Chips
  • 1 can Refried Beans
  • 1 can Black Beans, rinsed and drained
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • Garlic Salt
  • Mexican Four Cheese Blend, shredded
  • Rotisserie Chicken, chopped (or Ground Hamburger)
  • Yellow Onion, diced
  • Jalapeño Peppers, diced
  • Avocados, diced
  • Tomatoes, diced
  • Cilantro, cut or torn
  • Fresh Salsa (my recipe is linked below)
  • Sour Cream

  • To the refried beans, add some freshly ground black pepper, garlic salt, and shredded cheese and cook on medium heat.
  • Top a sheet pan with foil and layer a healthy amount of your favorite tortilla chips.
  • Evenly distribute generous amounts of refried beans, black beans, chicken, onion, jalapeño peppers, and cheese over the chips.
  • Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is nicely melted.
  • Additional topping suggestions: avocados, tomatoes, cilantro, Fresh Garden Salsa and sour cream.
  • Dig in!!!

  • With an appetizer like this you can’t go wrong with ingredient amounts. A great rule of thumb here: the more the better!
